توفي، ظهر اليوم الخميس، وزير الأسرى الأسبق والقيادي في حركة المقاومة الإسلامية “حماس”، وصفي قبها، متأثرا بإصابته بفيروس “كورونا”، عن عمر ناهز 62 عامًا.
وطرأ تدهور خطير على صحة الوزير قبها خلال الأسابيع الماضية، إثر إصابته بفيروس “كورونا”، حيث مكث تحت التخدير، قبل أن يتم الاعلان عن وفاته في مستشفى “ابن سينا الطبي” بمدينة جنين (شمال الضفة الغربية المحتلة).
ونعت عائلته في بيان، تلقت “قدس برس” نسخة منه، قبها، وقالت: “نحتسب عند الله تعالى أخانا وحبيبنا القائد المهندس وصفي قبها وزير الأسرى ونصيرهم ونصير المظلومين نحسبه شهيدا والله حسيبه”.
وأشارت إلى أن “الدفن سيكون غدا بعد صلاة الجمعة في مقبرة الشهداء في مخيم جنين والتشييع من المسجد الكبير في مخيم جنين ثم إلى مقبرة الشهداء”.
ولد قبها في قرية “برطعة” إلى الغرب من مدينة جنين بتاريخ 19 حزيران/يونيو 1959، وهو متزوج وأب لسبعة أبناء، وأتم تعليمه في مدارس القرية ومدينة جنين.
والقيادي المتوفى حاصل على درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية، من جامعة ديترويت في ولاية ميشيغان الأمريكية عام 1984.
عمل وزيرا سابقا للأسرى في الحكومة الفلسطينية العاشرة (حكومة إسماعيل هنية)، كما نشط في قضايا الأسرى والمحررين والدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان.
وتعرض لعدة محاولات اغتيال واعتداء، واعتقل عدة مرات وأمضى نحو 13 عاما في سجون الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.
