Health Ministry: 300 new coronavirus cases registered, 102 recover, 14 pass away

Damascus, 300 new coronavirus infections, 102 recoveries and 14 desths have been registered in the country. according to Health Ministry.

In a statement to SANA on Saturday , the Ministry indicated that the total number of the reported coronavirus cases in Syria has reached up to 41,222 till now, of which 25,606 have recovered, while 2,492 passed away.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was registered on the 29th of the same month.

Turkish occupation renews aggression on Tal Tamr, Hasaka countryside

Hasaka, Turkish occupation and its terrorist mercenaries renewed their aggression against the safe villages and towns in the vicinity of Tel Tamer in the northwestern countryside of Hasaka.

Local sources told SANA reporter that the Turkish occupation forces and its terrorist mercenaries launched heavy artillery attack on Tal Shanan village, north of Tel Tamer district, in the northwestern countryside of Hasaka, causing material damage to locals’ houses and properties.

During the last two weeks, the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries intensified their shelling attacks on villages in the vicinity of Tal Tamr and Ras al-Ain, particularly against the villages of Dardara, Hamra and Tal Shanan in Hasaka countryside, which caused material damage to the homes and properties.

Daraa northern countryside joins settlement process taking place in the province

Daraa, New areas in Daraa province have joined the settlement process of status of militants and the wanted, based on the agreement proposed by the state.

SANA’s reporter said Sunday that the process of settling the status of the gunmen, the wanted and military deserters from the towns of Izra’, al-Sheikh Miskin and a number of villages in the Lajat area in Daraa northern countryside started.

On Saturday, the competent authorities settled the status of dozens of civilians from the town of Mahja and the village of Faqih in the northern countryside of Daraa and the villages of Asim, al-Mutla, al-Zarayer, Jadal and Tyre in the Lajat area of gunmen, the wanted and military deserters.

Army combs al-Hrak city, and its environs in Daraa northeastern countryside

Daraa, Units of the Syrian Arab Army started on Sunday combing operations in al-Hrak city and its environs in the northeastern countryside of Daraa province after completing the settlement process there within the framework of the agreement proposed by the State.

SANA reporter said that Army units started in the morning combing the entrances and streets of al-Hrak city and the agricultural lands adjacent to it, removing the dangerous objects to protect the lives of the civilians in preparation to the return of the services bodies to do their duties in offering services to the civilians.

Over the past weeks, army units have reinforced their positions in the cities, towns and villages in Daraa countryside, where settlement operations took place based on the agreement proposed by the State last August.

A number of QSD militia gunmen injured in an attack, Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor, A number of gunmen affiliated to the US occupation-backed QSD militia were injured in an attack carried out by the popular fractions that targeted one of the militia’s headquarters in al-Kashkiya town, Deir Ezzor eastern countryside.

“An attack by a grenade targeted the so called “al-Kashkiya Council” affiliated to QSD militia in the town of al-Kashkiya, injuring a number of the militants and causing damages to the place, “ local sources told SANA.

A Project to enable locals in Eastern Ghouta face climate changes launched

Damascus Countryside, Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, in cooperation with UN organizations, launched a project to enable local communities in Eastern Ghouta to overcome the climate changes and water shortage through an integrated management for the natural resources and the speedy adaptation.

The project, launched on Sunday during a workshop held in al-Mleiha town in Damascus countryside , will be carried out in cooperation with UN organizations like United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat),United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) , with participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Ministry of Water Resources in addition to Commission of Planning and International Cooperation and the domestic community in the town of al-Mleiha, Der al-Asafir and Marj al-Sultan towns in Eastern Ghouta.

It aims to enhance the capability of the state institutions and the local communities, evaluate the natural resources and managing them, particularly the lands and water in an effective and sustainable method to be able to overcome the climate changes.

For the second week, QSD militia cut off power in some areas of Hasaka

Hasaka, US occupation-backed QSD militia continued their violations against citizens of Hasaka and the areas they occupy as it continued cutting off the electricity for the second successive week from al-Zuhour neighborhood near the southern entrance of Hasaka in addition to the two villages of al-Abed and al-Falah on the south eastern side of the city.

Local sources told SANA reporter that the militia continued cutting off the power and asked the civilians to pay monthly royalties for the electricity to be connected again.

Venezuelan Ambassador in Damascus awarded Order of Merit in farewell ceremony

Damascus, Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Sunday held a farewell ceremony for the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus, Jose Gregorio Biomorgi Muzattiz on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in Syria.

During the ceremony, Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan awarded the Ambassador Biomorgi the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent Degree in appreciation for his friendly country and noble personality.

The Ambassador thanked President Bashar al-Assad for awarding him this Order of Merit, considering it as incentive to continue working to strengthen bilateral relations and convoy the reality of the war imposed on Syria to the world.

He underlined that Syria’s victory and the steadfastness of its people in the face of the terrorist war are changing history and paving the way for the formulation of a new multipolar world.

He indicated that his country faces a similar war waged by the hegemonic powers in the world today.

Speaking to the journalists, Sousan affirmed the deep-rooted friendship relations between Syria and Venezuela, and the two peoples of the two countries share the same suffering and face US conspiracies and unilateral coercive measures.

He voiced confidence that Venezuela, with the revolutionary legacy of leader, Hugo Chavez, will win against the plot just as Syria did.
