المغرب تعتزم المشاركة في مؤتمر عسكري بـ”تل أبيب”

قال المتحدث باسم جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، الجمعة، إن الجيش المغربي سيشارك في مؤتمر عسكري سيعقد قريبًا في “إسرائيل”.

وأوضح المتحدث باسم جيش الاحتلال، في تغريدة على “تويتر”، أن “الجيش الإسرائيلي سيستضيف مؤتمرًا دوليًا هو الأول من نوعه حول التجديد والتحديث العسكري”، مؤكدًا أن “العشرات من قادة جيوش العالم، ومن بينها دول عربية، سيشاركون في المؤتمر”.

وأردف: “من شأن المؤتمر، بقيادة الجيش الإسرائيلي، أن يعزز الشرعية الدولية في مجال توسيع حرية العمل وخلق عمق استراتيجي، مع إبراز (إسرائيل) كقوة إقليمية، إضافة إلى كونها موردًا مهما في مجال الابتكار والأمن المحلي والدولي”، على حد زعمه.

وأظهر الإعلان الذي نشره المتحدث باسم جيش الاحتلال أعلام 19 دولة ستشارك في المؤتمر العسكري، فيما يظهر علم المغرب بينها.

وكان جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، أمس الخميس، أعلن أنه سيعقد مؤتمرًا دوليًا الأسبوع القادم، بمشاركة العشرات من قادة جيوش العالم، من بينها دول عربية.

يذكر أن رئيس أركان الاحتلال، أفيف كوخافي، سبق وزار المغرب (للمرة الأولى) في شهر تموز/يوليو الماضي.

آنذاك، أوضح كوخافي أن الزيارة تهدف إلى “التعلم وتبادل المعرفة، كجزء من الجهود المبذولة لتوسيع التعاون العسكري بين (إسرائيل) ودول أخرى”.

ووقعت أربع دول عربية، هي الإمارات والبحرين والسودان والمغرب، اتفاقيات تطبيع مع “إسرائيل” بوساطة أمريكية في 2020، وأطلق عليها اسم “اتفاقيات أبراهام”، وسبقها بذلك مصر (1978) والأردن (1994).

والد منفذ عملية “ديزنغوف”: الشعب بات مقتنعًا أن المقاومة هي السبيل الوحيد

قال والد الشهيد رعد خازم، منفذ عملية شارع “ديزنغوف”، إن “المفاوضات لم تفضِ لشيء، والشعب بات مقتنعًا أن المقاومة هي السبيل الوحيد لتحرير أرضنا”، مؤكدًا أن “الشعب انتزع قراره واتخذ طريقه، ولا يأخذ قراره من أي جهة”.

واعتبر فتحي خازم، في تصريحات صحفية مساء الجمعة، أن “تمادي الاحتلال وانتهاكاته بحق أبناء شعبنا يدفعنا لمقاومته، وشعبنا بات أكثر قناعة أن ما أخذ بالقوة لا يسترد إلا بالقوة”.

وبيّن أن سياسة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، التي تهدف للسيطرة على “كرة اللهب” في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، “باءت بالفشل”.

وأكد خازم أن “مقاومي الضفة وأبطالها أشعلوا النار في كل مكان فيها”، مضيفًا: “النار اشتعلت في جنين، وامتدت إلى نابلس، ووصلت لسلواد، وأخيرًا للأغوار”.

وتابع: “الشباب الثائر في مخيم جنين يسيرون على درب الشهداء (..) وهدم البيوت يزيدنا عزمًا وإصرارًا”، مستدركًا: “مستمرون في المقاومة، ولن نتراجع”.

وأشار والد منفذ عملية “ديزنغوف” إلى “صور الوحدة الوطنية التي تجسدت بين مقاومي جنين، الذين يواجهون الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أثناء تصديهم لكل اقتحام”.

واستدرك بالقول: “كلنا مطاردون للاحتلال الإسرائيلي، ونحن سائرون على درب المقاومة (..) وشعبنا يعتز بغزة، وهي نموذج مشرف للمقاومة”.

وفجّرت قوات الاحتلال منزل الشهيد رعد خازم، الثلاثاء الماضي، في مدينة جنين (شمال الضفة)، وأعقب التفجير تبادل إطلاق نار عنيف بين جنود الاحتلال ومقاومين فلسطينيين.

وفي 7 أبريل/نيسان الماضي، نفّذ المقاوم الفلسطيني رعد خازم (29 عامًا)، عملية إطلاق نار في شارع “ديزنغوف” وسط مدينة “تل أبيب”، أسفرت عن مقتل 3 مستوطنين وإصابة 10 آخرين.

— بلغ إجمالي حصة سوق الخيارات الأمريكية متعددة الإدراج لمجموعة MIAX للصرافة 12.79%، بانخفاض 16 نقطة أساس على أساس سنوي (YoY) وذلك يمثل انخفاضًا بنسبة 12.6%. تم تنفيذ إجمالي 108.1 مليون عقد خيارات متعددة الإدراج في مجموعة MIAX للصرافة، وهو ما يمثل انخفاضا بنسبة 6.8% على أساس سنوي ومتوسط حجم يومي (ADV) يبلغ 4,699,129 عقدًا. وبلغ إجمالي حجم العقود منذ بداية العام حتى تاريخه 863.8 مليون عقد، بانخفاض قدره 1.7% عن الفترة نفسها من عام 2021

— حققت MIAX Options (مياكس لعقود الخيارات) رقمًا قياسيًا في حجم التداول من بداية العام حتى تاريخه بلغ 360.6 مليون عقد، بزيادة قدرها 6.0% مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من عام 2021، وبلغ حجم التداول فيها في غشت/آب 2022 عدد 47.0 مليون عقد، بانخفاض قدره 0.3% على أساس سنوي. وأعلن مؤشر MIAX Emerald عن حجم أعمال بلغ 217.2 مليون عقد منذ بداية العام، بانخفاض 8.1% عن الفترة نفسها من عام 2021، مع إجمالي حجم 25.4 مليون عقد في غشت/آب 2022، بانخفاض بنسبة 39.2% على أساس سنوي. كما حققت MIAX Pearl (مياكس بيرل) رقمًا قياسيًا في حجم التداول من بداية العام حتى تاريخه بلغ 286.0 مليون عقد، بانخفاض قدره 5.2% مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من عام 2021، وبلغ إجمالي حجم التداول فيها 35.7 مليون عقد في شهر غشت/آب 2022، بانخفاض قدره 31.9% على أساس سنوي.

— وفي الأسهم الأمريكية، سجلت أسهم MIAX Pearl حجم شهري بلغ 2.4 مليار سهم في غشت/آب 2022، وهو ما يمثل زيادة بنسبة 210.2% على أساس سنوي وحصة سوقية قدرها 0.98%. وبلغ إجمالي حجم التداول منذ بداية العام رقما قياسيا بلغ 19.6 مليار سهم، بزيادة قدرها 316.9% عن الفترة نفسها من عام 2021.

— في العقود الآجلة الأمريكية، أعلنت MGEX ، وهي سوق عقود معين ( DCM ) ومنظمة مقاصة المشتقات (DCO) ، عن حجم تداول بلغ 376,441 عقدًا في غشت/آب 2022، بانخفاض بنسبة 4.6% على أساس سنوي. وبلغ إجمالي حجم التداول منذ بداية العام 2,400,396 عقدًا، بانخفاض قدره 3.0% عن الفترة نفسها من عام 2021.

New York, Sept. 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — As world leaders gather for the United Nations General Assembly, the Open Society Foundations is calling for bold steps to address critical worldwide crises, including:

A global rescue plan that sees higher-income countries committing 2% of their GDP to tackle spiraling living costs and embracing solutions such as pricing regulations, IP waivers, and windfall taxes;
Immediate debt relief and financial assistance to lower-income countries, including by suspending IMF/World Bank surcharges and issuing a new round of Special Drawing Rights;
Creation of a Loss and Damage mechanism to support countries that have already experienced irreparable or severe harm due to climate change;
Russian accountability for war crimes in Ukraine and an end to the war there; and

Low/no calorie sweeteners do not increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases

ISA statement in response to new study by Debras, Chazelas et al.

BRUSSELS, Belgium, Sept. 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The International Sweeteners Association (ISA) responds to the new study by Debras, Chazelas et al.¹ on low/no calorie sweeteners and cardiovascular diseases highlighting that, contrary to claims made in this study, there is no causal evidence that low/no calorie sweeteners could increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs).

Indeed, whilst the Debras, Chazelas et al study claim to show an association between low/no calorie sweeteners intake and CVD risk, there is no evidence of a plausible mechanism to support potential effects of low/no calorie sweeteners on cardiometabolic health.² The safety of all approved low/no calorie sweeteners has been confirmed by food safety bodies worldwide including the Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and of the World Health Organization (WHO)³, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)⁴, and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)⁵.

Actually, the intake of low/no calorie sweeteners in the NutriNet-Santé cohort was extremely low, even for higher consumers (defined in the study as participants with sweetener intake above the sex specific median among consumers). Importantly, experts have questioned the ability to detect an association between low/no calorie sweeteners at such low levels of intake and any health outcome and stressed that, in such circumstances, confounding factors become more influential.⁶ By design, observational studies cannot establish a cause-and-effect relationship due to their observational nature and the inability to exclude residual confounding or, importantly, attenuate the effects of reverse causality.⁷

Contrary to the study by Debras, Chazelas et al, a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies including change and substitutions analyses that mitigate the influence of reverse causality providing more consistent and robust associations found that low/no calorie sweetened beverages are associated with lower risk of coronary heart disease and CVD mortality in the intended substitution for sugar-sweetened beverages.⁸ These findings are in line with evidence from randomised controlled trials which confirm no adverse effect of low/no calorie sweeteners on cardiometabolic risk factors including blood pressure, lipid levels, blood glucose and body weight, and in fact some benefits when used to replace sugars in the diet. ⁹^,¹⁰

At a time when non-communicable diseases including diabetes and dental diseases remain major global health challenges, and in light of current public health recommendations to reduce overall sugar intake, low/no calorie sweeteners can be helpful in creating healthier food environments. They provide people with a wide choice of sweet-tasting options with low or no calories, and thus can be a useful tool, when used in place of sugar and as part of a balanced diet, in helping reduce overall sugar and calorie intake, as well as in managing blood glucose levels.¹¹ Low/no calorie sweeteners are also not fermentable by oral bacteria, which means that they do not contribute to tooth demineralisation, which is one of the reasons for tooth decay.¹²

New Report Reveals Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business’ ESG Achievements in China

Weather forecast: Unseasonably high temperature to prevail

RAMALLAH, Friday, September 09, 2022 (WAFA) – Weather today is mostly clear and relatively hot to hot in daytime and moderate in most districts in the night with a slight rise of temperature, which approaches 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

No significant change is expected in the weather conditions on Saturday and Sunday.

Monday’s temperature is set to slightly drop and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to relatively hot to hot conditions in daytime and moderate to slightly cold conditions in the night.

PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long periods, especially from 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.

Ultranationalist Israeli organizations to play shofar at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque

JERUSALEM, Friday, September 09, 2022 (WAFA) – Ultranationalist Jewish Israeli organizations intend to blew the shofar at Jerusalem’s flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

The so-called “Temple Mount” groups, has announced that their followers intend to blow the shofar, an ancient musical horn, to mark the New Jewish Year at the mosque compound.

One of such groups has submitted an application to an Israeli court, requesting a permission for its followers to play the shofar in line with previous court rulings stipulating that doing so does not provoke Muslim sentiments.

The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry decried the groups’ intention, which it described as part of the persistent assaults by settlers against the holy site aimed at altering the longstanding status quo at and dividing the site.

It held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for provocative settler intrusions into the mosque and warned of the ramifications of such intrusions.

It urged the United States, the United Nations along with its organizations, including UNESCO, to immediately intervene to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression and creeping encroachments upon Jerusalem and its holy sites.

“Temple Mount groups”, mostly from the Religious Zionism movement, arrange incursions at Al-Aqsa Mosque and advocate for the destruction of the holy site, where they believe two ancient Jewish temples once stood, to make way for a third temple.

Such groups join other Israeli Jewish supremacists annually in the so-called “Flag March” to celebrate Israel’s occupation and colonization of East Jerusalem since 1967.

Each year, thousands of Israeli members of far-right groups participate in the march, waving Israeli flags and chanting racist and genocidal slogans, as they pass by Palestinian onlookers and businesses passing through Jerusalem’s iconic Damascus Gate, entering the narrow alleys of the Old City’s Muslim Quarter and ending at the Western Wall plaza, created by Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem’s ancient Moroccan Quarter in the first days of the occupation.

Expressing their religious as well as their ethnic hatred, the fanatical participants frequently belt out racist slogans, including “Muhammad is dead,” to denigrate the prophet of Islam and the faith of Muslims, and “Zachreni Na,” with its call for ethnic cleansing: “Palestine – May their name be wiped out!”

Israel uses the Jewish nationalist name “Judea and Samaria” to refer to the occupied West Bank to reinforce its bogus claims to the territory and to give them a veneer of historical and religious legitimacy.
