Fair weather forecast for next 4 days-JMD


The weather Saturday will be moderate almost countrywide, and blazing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

According to the JMD report, Sunday will see a slight rise in temperatures, and an approximately similar weather to the earlier day will prevail.

On Monday, the weather will substantially remain unchanged and the winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed.

However, temperatures will drop slightly On Tuesday, and the weather will be relatively moderate nationwide.

Also today, temperatures in the capital Amman will hit a high of 30? and a low of 19?, while the port city of Aqaba will reach 40? during the day, sliding to 28? at night.

Palestinian man injured by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets west of Ramallah

RAMALLAH: A Palestinian man today was shot and injured by Israeli occupation forces while and others suffered from suffocation during their military incursion on the town of Baitunia, west of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in the town and carried out extensive raids and searches of citizens’ homes, sparking confrontations, during which they fired bullets, sound bombs and toxic tear gas, injuring a young man and causing others to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.

The Ministry of Prisoners and Freed Prisoners in Gaza confirmed on Friday that the Zionist government has turned prisons and detention centers into graveyards for killing and torture using the most heinous and most humiliating means in a manner that violates all the rules of international and humanitarian law.

The Ministry said in a statement that what is revealed daily in terms of photos and reports and what is collected from testimonies from released prisoners about the conditions of Palestinian prisoners inside the occupation prisons and detention centers is a small part of the ugly and bleak picture of what they are exposed to continuously and continuously in terms of killing, torture, abuse and brutal intimidation that exceeds imagination and perception, renewing its demands to international institutions, human rights organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to have an effective role in putting an end to these ugly practices practiced on prisoners and working to implement the rules
of international and humanitarian law in dealing with prisoners and allowing them to be visited and their conditions checked.

It denounced the leaked video clips from Megiddo Prison that show the Zionist entity forces abusing Palestinian prisoners and terrorizing them with police dogs, while dozens of prisoners are shown lying on the ground with their hands tied behind their backs, lying on their stomachs, while Zionist security forces terrorize them with dogs.

The number of prisoners and detainees in the prisons of the Zionist entity is about 9,900 prisoners, in addition to prisoners from Gaza who were recognized by the occupation after their arrest during the war and classified as “illegal combatants”, numbering 1,584, in addition to an unknown number in the camps affiliated with the army.

OIC Condemns Israel’s Killing of Turkish-American Activist

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the escalation of the Israeli occupation forces’ crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.

It added that this includes the killing of 26-years-old Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi during a peaceful demonstration against settlement policies in Beita, south of Nablus, on Friday, in addition to the killing of 13-year-old Bana Amjad Bakr during extremist settler militia attacks on the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus, while they were under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

In a statement, the OIC held the Israeli entity responsible for these heinous crimes, describing them as an extension of the Israeli forces’ daily genocidal and organized terrorism crimes against Palestinian civilians, in gross violation of all international laws, norms, and relevant United Nations resolutions. The OIC called for the formation of an independent international commission to investigate these crimes and hold the perpetrators accoun
table.

The organization also emphasized the need for the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities and enforce its resolutions. This includes an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, along with ending the colonial settlement policies and illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.

Israel orders halt to construction on buildings in Nablus

NABLUS: Israeli occupation forces have issued orders to halt construction on residential buildings in the city of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian security sources reported that the Israeli authorities notified a suspension of work on buildings located near An-Najah Hospital, located northwest of Nablus.

The halt affects ongoing construction projects in the area, impacting housing development near the hospital.

3 Paramedics Killed and 2 Injured in Israeli Raids on Southern Lebanon

Three paramedics were killed and two others were injured as a result of ongoing Israeli raids on the towns and villages of southern Lebanon.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said that these casualties were caused by Israel targeting a Lebanese Civil Defense team while it was working on extinguishing fires caused by recent Israeli raids on the town of Froun on Saturday.

The statement added, “The Public Health Ministry condemns this blatant Israeli attack that targeted a team in an official apparatus affiliated with the Lebanese state, noting that it is the second of its kind against an ambulance team in less than twelve hours.” It affirmed that the Israeli entity’s insistence on accumulating such attacks prohibited by international law proves its barbarism and aggressive intentions, hindering the carrying out of humanitarian missions usually allowed in wars.

Five Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Home in Nuseirat Camp in Central Gaza

Five Palestinians were killed Saturday in an Israeli airstrike on a home in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.

Local sources reported by Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) said that Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The attack resulted in the murder of the five civilians, including two children and three women, and caused injuries to several others.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has killed thousands of Palestinians and left many others injured or missed.
