Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center Hosts Programs Introducing Islamic Culture

Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs continues to provide its educational programs to the communities residing in the country, which includes introducing Islam and Islamic culture and programs for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, in addition to holding educational activities and religious lectures, which generally aim to provide an integrated and balanced picture of Islam, its culture and civilization.

In this context, a number of university students and a number of tourist guides wishing to learn about Qatar’s culture and heritage visited the center as part of their training program on tourist guidance on the Discover Qatar platform. During their visit to the center, they learned about various aspects of Qatari culture and Islamic civilization. This visit comes as a continuation of the cooperation with the authorities concerned with tourism work in the country, where the center contributes to educating tour guides about the heritage and culture in Qatar.

In the same context, nine students from the student exchange program at Texas A&M University visited the center, and learned about Qatari culture through the center’s heritage hall, and Islam, its law and civilization through the main cultural hall of the center, and they expressed their admiration and praised the work done by the center.

The center also held an event in its main headquarters and its two branches in the industrial area and Al-Khor city to educate the new converts, which was attended by 165 new Muslim converts.
