Fatah Movement’s Central Committee member, Azzam Al Ahmad, said that the coordination between Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Lebanese government was ongoing to preserve calm and prevent the reoccurence of Nahr Al Bared camp incidents in 2007.
Al Ahmad on Monday visited Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nouhad Machnouk, at his office, accompanied by Palestine’s Ambassador Ashraf Dabbour and PLO’s Secretary General, Fathi Abou Ardat. Talks focused on the problems surrounding Palestinan camps at all levels.
“The Lebanese Palestinian coordination has so far succeeded in blocking the way in front of extremist forces’ intentions to repeat Nahr Al Bared experience,” said Al Ahmad.
