Decrease in Palestine’s Industrial Production Index in February

The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine decreased by 2.43 during February 2021 compared to January of the same year, and reached 99.07 points (Base Year 2019 = 100), according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

IPI for February 2021 decreased due to the decrease in the activities of Mining and Quarrying by 12.32 percent, which had a share of 2.89 percent of the total industry, and the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation by 9.31 percent which had a share of 1.84 percent of the total industry.

The activities of Manufacturing Industry also decreased by 2.24 percent, and had a share of 87.89 percent of the total industry.

Meanwhile, the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply increased by 0.39 percent, and had a share of 7.38 percent of the total industry.
