Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdel Aati held Israel responsible for the current dangerous escalation in the region due to Israeli aggression on Gaza, violations of international law, illegal practices in the West Bank, and political assassinations, and called on the UN Security Council to adopt a binding resolution requiring Israel to stop its aggression on the strip and its continuous violations of international law.
During a phone call, the two ministers stressed the need to work on de-escalation to prevent the region from slipping into a comprehensive regional conflict that could destabilize the Middle East, especially after the recent Israeli escalation.
Additionally, the two ministers condemned political assassinations.

an tragedy, and reiterated their condemnation of Israel’s grave violations of international law and international humanitarian law and its violations of the sovereignty of states.
The two ministers reaffirmed the need to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories in a way that addresses the roots of the conflict in the region, restores the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and realizes their independent and sovereign state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, as the only way to achieve security and stability in the region.
The two ministers also affirmed that they would continue consultations and coordination during the coming period.
