Foreign ministry calls on US administration to exert genuine pressure on Israel to stop all unilateral actions

The ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates called on the US administration to exert genuine pressure on the Israeli government to stop all unilateral actions aimed at creating a new status quo that serves its colonial interests at the expense of the lands of the Palestinian state.

The ministry in a statement further called on the UN Security Council to respect its obligations and take the necessary actions to ensure the implantation of its resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334.

It said that Israel’s impunity and lack of accountability encourage Israel to act as a state above the law and to persist in committing more violations of international law and failing to fulfill its obligations as an occupying power.

The ministry held the Israeli government, headed by extremist Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, directly and fully responsible for the continued crimes and violations and their repercussions on the entire region.
