A trip to Moscow next week by the leader of Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has been postponed, the group’s political bureau member Mousa Abu Marzouk said in a tweet on Thursday.
The Hamas leader had been expected to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Abu Marzouk said the Russian side has stressed its unyielding position as regards the Palestinian cause.
Recently, Israel has exerted simmering pressure so as to cancel Haneyya’s visit to Moscow.
