JERUSALEM, Wednesday, Israeli forces charged a number of activists at Khan al-Ahmar village, east of Jerusalem, on Wednesday, injured some and detained one woman, according to witnesses.
They said the forces assaulted the activists without any reason prompting a confrontation that resulted in injuring at least four people.
A woman was detained and identified as Raneen Amira, 18, they said.
Forces were present in the area to provide cover for bulldozers working on leveling the land in the village apparently in preparation for removing it and its Palestinian residents.
Over 200 activists have been holding a vigil at the village since the Israeli government took the decision to destroy it in order to build a Jewish settlement in its location. The activists hope to prevent its removal.
