RAMALLAH, Oct 27 — The Israeli authorities have detained 19 Palestinians during an overnight campaign in Hebron, Jerusalem and Nablus, the Palestinians Prisoners Club said on Sunday.
The Israeli forces carried out a detention campaign following the events that erupted as a result of aggressions by Jewish settlers against the Palestinian people and the Aqsa Mosque, it added.
According to a Club’s solicitor, Mufeed Al-Haj, nine young Palestinians have been detained in different parts of Jerusalem.
Club’s director in Jerusalem Nasser Al-Qwass said the Israeli campaign continued till the early morning today.
Jerusalem has been the scene of clashes over the past few days between Israel’s army and Palestinians youth protesting the Israeli practices against the Aqsa. Dozens have been injured.
