Israeli authority today notified eight Palestinian households in Massafer Yatta in the south of the occupied West Bank of its intention to demolish their homes under the pretext they were built without permit, according to local sources.
Rateb Jabour, coordinator of the National and Popular Committee in southern Hebron, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided Massafer Yatta and handed eight Palestinian families demolition notices against their homes.
Massafer Yatta is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule, and is regularly subject to Israeli measures aimed at ending Palestinian presence there.
According to the National Committee, Israel demolished around 686 structures in 2019 in Area C and in occupied East Jerusalem.
