Israeli forces attack Palestinian protesters across the West Bank, dozens injured

: Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian protesters who rallied throughout the West Bank in condemnation of Israel’s ongoing and escalated aggression in Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, leaving dozens of injures, and others shot by live and rubber-coated steel bullets.

Four Palestinian youth were shot and injured by live ammunition, and 20 others by rubber-coated steel bullets, during clashes that broke out in various parts in Qalqilia. Dozens of others suffocated by tear gas fired by the Israeli army forces.

In the village of Beit Ijza, near Jerusalem, Israeli forces attacked protesters with live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets, and a barrage of tear gas canisters and stun grenades, leaving three people shot with rubber-coated bullets. Dozens of others were treated for tear-gas suffocation.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces violently attacked Palestinian protesters at the entrance to An-Naqura village to the north of Nablus with rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters, shooting and injuring a youth. Dozens of others suffered from tear-gas suffocation.

Similar clashes were witnessed in the vicinity of Nablus city, leaving 11 Palestinians shot with live ammunition. The majority of injuries were in the lower extremities.

A Palestinian journalist covering the clashes at Huwwara military checkpoint, south of Nablus, was reportedly shot in the foot by live ammunition.

Clashes were also reported at the northern entrance to the town of Taqou, east of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, during which the Israeli army fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades toward protesters, causing many to suffocate.

The deliberate heavy firing of tear gas canisters and sound grenades toward residents’ homes and lands caused nearby lands planted with olive trees to catch fire.

Eleven people were shot by live bullets, one of whom was detained by the army forces after being shot, during clashes that broke out in the village of Atoof and at Tayaseer military checkpoint to the east of Tubas.

Two youth were also shot and injured in their lower extremities during clashes that broke out at the entrance to Anbata town east of Tulkarem, in the northern West Bank.

According to the ministry of health, the total number of bullet injuries that were transferred to treatment centers in the West Bank up until 5:30 pm today reached 97, including 6 seriously.

National and Islamic Forces, a coalition of the major Palestinian factions, called upon Palestinians to take part in mass rallies throughout the occupied Palestinian territories to protest against the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza and on Arab Palestinians in Arab towns inside Israel, as well as in occupied Jerusalem and in the occupied West Bank.
