Israeli occupation forces sabotage cultivated land, water pipeline north of Jericho

JERICHO, Israeli forces today sabotaged a large tract of cultivated land and a water pipeline in al-Ousaj cooperative village, north of Jericho, according to a local official.

Jihan Sirsawi, a village official, told WAFA that Israeli forces barged into the village, uprooted and seized 120 citrus saplings and 46 palm saplings, dismantled and seized a fence surrounding a 64-dunum plot of agricultural land owned by the Ministry of Waqf and Religious Affairs as well as destroyed a 400-meter-long water pipeline.

She said the military intended to sabotage the entire agricultural area to prevent Palestinian development in that area.

Al-Ousaj was built as a model farm and considered a pioneering idea in agricultural work.
