Israeli occupation soldiers injure two Palestinians in Kafr Qaddum

Two Palestinians were shot and injured and dozens of others suffocated by Israeli occupation forces today during the weekly anti-occupation protest in the village of Kafr Qaddum, in the northern West Bank province of Qalqilia.

Morad Shtewi, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli occupation soldiers attacked the protesters with rubber-coated rounds and teargas, injuring at least two youths and causing dozens of others to suffocate from gas inhalation.

Some of the injured were treated at the scene while others were moved to hospital for treatment.

For years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been protesting every Friday against illegal Israeli settlements, and calling on Israeli authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation authorities since 2002.
