Jordan sends aid convoy to Syrian earthquake victims

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) sent a new 10-truck aid convoy to Syria for those affected by a devastating earthquake that struck the country last February. The convoy carries medical, relief, and food materials, which were donated to the JHCO by various sectors and donors to be delivered to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, according to a JHCO statement released Monday. “More than two months since the disaster, and we are still continuing assistance to ensure that Syrians recover and return to their normal lives,” said JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli. A total of 172 trucks and 3 aid planes were sent to Syria, he added.
