Lavrov: ending crisis in Ukraine depends on US not supporting for Kiev

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov predicted on Wednesday that the crisis in Ukraine will end with the United States abandoning the Kiev regime when it feels that it is no longer needed.

“The United States has abandoned the Afghan leadership, on which they relied during the twenty-year occupation of this country,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov added in an interview with the TV channel “Tsargrad”: “I hope that contemporary politicians pay attention to history and how relations develop with the hegemony, which wants to impose itself on everyone in this capacity.”

“I do not rule it out,” Lavrov answered, in response to a reporter’s question, whether the Ukrainian crisis could end with this as well.

It is noteworthy that the American forces evacuated their main military base in Afghanistan in 2021, within the framework of an agreement with Taliban movement, in a situation that shocked their allies in this country, who considered that Washington, with this decision, had abandoned them.
