May 25 announced holiday to mark 77th Independence Day

Ministries and public departments will observe a public holiday on May 25 on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 77th Independence Day, according to a circular issued by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Sunday. All ministries, official institutions, public universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), and government-owned companies will suspend their work on Thursday, May 25 to celebrate this occasion, the circular announced. The circular excluded ministries and public departments, whose work nature necessitates otherwise.
