Mikdad: Syria and Palestine are constantly facing Israeli occupation and its violations of international legitimacy

Damascus, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad discussed on Sunday with Secretary General of Central Committee of Palestinian National Liberation Movement ( Fatah) ,Major General Jibril Rajoub and the accompanying delegation situation in Syria, Palestine and the region.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rajoub delivered a letter from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to President Bashar al-Assad.

Mikdad affirmed that Syria stands by the Palestinian people to restore their inalienable legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent state on their land.

He noted that Syria and Palestine are constantly confronting the Israeli occupation, its attacks, practices and violations of the international legitimacy.

Mikdad condemned crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people , its settlement polices and land annexation, stressing that Israeli decisions against the people of the occupied Syrian Golan and the Palestinians are war crimes and crimes against humanity and violate the resolutions of the international legitimacy.

For his part, Rajoub congratulated the Syrian people and the leadership on victories which have been achieved over terrorism, calling for lifting of the unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on the Syrian people.

Rajoub also affirmed the desire of the Fatah organization to dialogue with all the Palestinian parties to reach a solid position that defends the rights of the Palestinians at the regional and international level.
