Moscow demands Washington streamline grain deal, Russia’s food export
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov talked Friday about the “importance” of Washington facilitating the implementation of the Istanbul agreement for the export of grain and Russian agricultural products. Peskov told a press conference: “Security is provided as part of the grain deal. If the United States wants to help, it must ensure the implementation of the Russian part of the grain deal and implementation instead of issuing promises.” Moscow suspended its participation in the deal in protest at the failure to implement the part related to the export of its agricultural products and prevented the export of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea.
