Naples wins first Serie-A title in 33 years

Napoli won its first Serie A title in 33 years after coming from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Udinese at the Dacia Arena, Udine, on Thursday. Victor Osimhen scored the decisive goal in the second half as Napoli’s current stars came back from trailing to Sandi Lovric’s opener at half-time and emulated the teams led by Diego Maradona, which won the league in 1987 and 1990. Napoli remained at the top of the league with 80 points, 16 points ahead of Lazio in the second position, five rounds before the end of the season, according to Euronews. The southern Italian team, led by coach Luciano Spalletti, ended a 33-year wait, since its last title when the late Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona led the team.
