News about the Palestinian killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin hit the front pages of the three Arabic Palestinian dailies on Thursday.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida, al-Ayyam and al-Quds said that Israeli occupation forces early shot and killed a Palestinian youth during a military incursion into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

They said that Mohammad Marei, 25, from Jenin refugee camp, was shot and critically injured by Israeli soldiers during an early morning raid into the city and later died of his wounds.

The papers said that the Israeli occupation forces demolished a store and several vegetable stalls, and issued demolition orders against several others near al-Jalameh checkpoint, north of Jenin.

They also added that the Israeli occupation authorities demolished seven Palestinian-owned structures in the town of Anata, east of Jerusalem, under the pretext of construction without a permit.

Israeli forces and settlers today assaulted activists participating in an olive-tree-planting activity in lands threatened with confiscation in Masafer Yatta in the South Hebron Hills, south of the occupied West Bank, according to the papers.

Israeli forces today knocked down two agricultural structures and razed a road in A‘nza village, south of Jenin, as reported in the dailies.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said that President Mahmoud Abbas is set to attend the commemorative festivities of the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence, according to Palestine’s Ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Eita.

The newspaper said Premier Mohammad Shtayyeh stressed the importance of reinforcing bilateral Palestinian-EU ties at the highest levels, culminating in EU recognition of the State of Palestine.

The papers said that Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, told members of his Yamina party that he will not be running in the upcoming election.
