Omicron cases in Palestine surge to 77, says official

The tally of the COVID omicron cases in Palestine has surged to 77 after 10 more cases were newly registered, the Ministry of Health said today.

In a press statement, MoH spokesman Kamal Al-Shakhra said 10 more cases of COVID omicron variant have been detected in the country, bringing up the tally to 77.

Al-Shakhra said the majority of cases of the highly transmissible variant were reported in the West Bank, and that only one case has been registered so far in Gaza.
