PALESTINE URGES INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO BACK UP U.N. DRAFT RESOLUTION

RAMALLAH, Palestine, Dec 30- The Palestinian presidency called on the international community, Monday, to support the Palestinian draft UN resolution, in order to rid the Palestinian people from crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces.

The presidency was reacting to the Israeli army killing of 15-year-old Imam Dweikat, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.

The cold-blooded killing of Dweikat is a proof that the Palestinians were heading in the right direction, to submit a draft resolution to the UN Security Council (UNSC), to put a specific timetable towards ending the Israeli occupation and establishment of the independent Palestinian state, on the June 4, 1967 borders, the presidency said in a statement, cited by official WAFA news agency.

A security source said earlier that, Dweikat was killed and another boy was wounded, when Israeli forces opened fire at a number of Palestinian youth, who were throwing stones at them near the Zaitara checkpoint
