Palestinians suffocate during clashes northwest of Jerusalem

Several Palestinians suffocated today by tear gas fired by Israeli forces during clashes that broke out in the towns of Biddu and Beit Ijza, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, according to local witnesses.

Sources said clashes broke out between youth and Israeli army soldiers during a military incursion into the said towns.

Forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades towards residents and their homes, causing several people to suffocate.

Three Palestinians were shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces in an attack early morning today which targeted a house in the village of Beit Anan, to the northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

Two other Palestinians were shot dead early morning today in an Israeli military raid into the village of Burqin, to the west of Jenin city in the north of the occupied West Bank.
