Palestinians suffocate in Bethlehem-area town clashes

A number of Palestinians suffocated today by tear gas fired during clashes with Israeli forces in the town of Taqou to the south of Bethlehem, according to Taysir Abu Mefreh, director of the municipality of Taqou,

He told WAFA correspondent that clashes were centered in the vicinity of the municipality at the western entrance, during which Israeli forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas bombs, and stun grenades toward residents in the town, causing several people to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.
