PCBS: Decrease found in registered exports and imports

According to a report issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), a decrease was found in registered Exports and Imports in Goods by 13% and 7% respectively in July 2021 compared to the previous month.

According to the report, exports decreased in July 2021 by 13% compared to June 2021, while it increased by 12% compared to July 2020 and reached USD 109 Million.

Exports to Israel decreased in July 2021 by 12% compared to June 2021 and it represented 93% of total exports in July 2021.

At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 19% during the same period compared to June, 2021. Imports decreased in July 2021 by 7% compared to June 2021. While it increased by 20% compared to July 2020 and reached USD 506 Million.

Imports from Israel slightly decreased in July 2021 by 0.3% compared to June 2021 and it represented 54% of total Imports in July 2021.

At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 14% compared to June 2021.

The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 5% in July 2021 compared to June 2021. While it increased by 22% compared to July 2020 and reached USD 397 Million.
