PCBS: Increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings in Palestine in October

RAMALLAH, Thursday– An increase has been noted in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings, according to a report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS)

The report said that The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 119.74 with an increase of 0.39% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material increased by 0.65%, and the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.16%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank reached 118.84 with an increase of 0.37% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material increased by 0.60%, and the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.21%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank reached 120.26 with an increase of 1.09% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw materials increased by 1.70%, and the price of rental of equipment increased by 0.17%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 115.43 with a slight increase of 0.09% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups, the price of raw material increased by 0.25%. While, the prices of operating costs of equipment and maintenance decreased by 0.99%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.15%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during October 2022 compared with the previous month.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank reached 129.12 with an increase of 0.25% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base month January 2010=100).

Water reservoirs Cost Index reached 122.36 with an increase of 1.40%. While, water networks Cost Index reached 132.19 with a decrease of 0.23% during October 2022 compared with September 2022.

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank reached 115.17 with an increase of 0.23% during October 2022 compared with September 2022 (Base month January 2010=100).
