PCBS: Increase in the Construction Cost Index /CCI/ for Residential Buildings

According to a report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings reached 111.14 with an increase of 0.80% in the West Bank during May 2021 compared with April 2021 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials increased by 1.37%, while rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.04%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2021 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings reached 110.70 with an increase of 0.79% in the West Bank during May 2021 compared with April 2021 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials increased by 1.30%, while rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.07%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2021 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings reached 111.95 with an increase of 1.53% in the West Bank during May 2021 compared with April 2021 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials increased by 2.40%, while rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.04%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2021 compared with the previous month.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 108.19 with an increase of 0.25% in the West Bank during May 2021 compared with April 2021 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials increased by 0.37%, and rental of equipment increased by 0.10%, At the same time, operating costs of equipment and maintenance group and labour costs and wages group remained stable during May 2021 compared with the previous month.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 120.43 with an increase of 1.13% in the West Bank during May 2021 compared with April 2021 (Base month January 2010=100).

Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 115.40 with an increase of 2.49%, and Water Networks Cost Index reached 122.72 with an increase of 0.56% during May 2021 compared with the previous month.

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 109.51 with an increase of 0.30% in the West Bank during May 2021 compared with April 2021 (Base month January 2010=100).
