PM meets Sana’a Governor

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, was briefed, during his meeting today, Saturday,with the Governor of Sana’a, Abdul Basit Al-Hadi, on the activities of the local authority and the executive office in the province, and the most prominent items of its plan for the year 1445 AH.

Al-Hadi reviewed the conditions of the province, the level of general performance, and the efforts of the province leadership and the executive office to reduce the existing challenges as a result of the continued aggression and siege, especially with regard to the service and humanitarian aspects.

He reviewed the projects implemented within the province’s plan for the current year to advance the basic services sector and meet emergency requirements.

Al-Hadi touched on the inspection visits to dams, water barriers and caravans within the framework of the province to find out their conditions and the extent of their need for maintenance, especially in light of what the province and most of the provinces witnessed from a large flow of torrents as a result of the torrential rains that God granted them recently.

He emphasized the great importance of dams and water barriers in benefiting from rainwater within the framework of rainwater harvesting projects to irrigate agricultural lands, feed groundwater and reduce well drilling.

Dr. Bin Habtoor pointed out the importance of permanent monitoring dams’ conditions and water barriers, the water level in them, and to initiate maintenance if necessary to avoid the repercussions of the collapse of any of them, on the lives of citizens and public and private property.
