PM: Nineveh Governorate Constitutes A Mini-Iraq That Embraces The Various Components

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, confirmed today, Friday, that the Nineveh Governorate constitutes a mini-Iraq that embraces the various components.

Al-Sudani’s media office said in a statement that “the Prime Minister met a number of members of the House of Representatives from the various components of Nineveh Governorate, during his current visit to the city of Mosul.”

The statement added, “Al-Sudani listened to various proposals regarding the living, service and social conditions in all regions of Nineveh, projects and programs that are being implemented, and proposals that would maintain stability throughout the province.”

Al-Sudani indicated, “The current economic directions of the government require work in Nineveh within a government vision aimed at advancing the economic and service reality, and moving the wheel of development in all governorates of Iraq.”

He explained, “The current stage requires moving away from factional interests towards the general interest of the province and its people, and adopting the principle of citizenship as a basis in dealing with important issues and files, in a way that enhances the security and stability of Nineveh citizens of all sects.”

Al-Sudani stressed, “the specificity of Nineveh Governorate, as it constitutes a mini-Iraq that embraces the various components,” pointing to “the state of recovery that the governorate is witnessing today after years of expelling the terrorist gangs of ISIS, and the duty of the state to implement its plans and programs in order to change its reality for the better, through the establishment of service projects, directly affecting the life of the citizen, as well as dealing with files that contribute to strengthening the stability of the governorate and achieving social security for its people.
