PM Visits The Prophet Yunus Mosque (PBUH) And The Great Al-Nuri Mosque In Mosul

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, visited today Friday, the Mosque of the Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) on the left side of the city of Mosul, and the Great Al-Nuri Mosque, on the right side, in the center of the ancient city of Mosul.

Al-Sudani was briefed, according to a statement by his office, on the progress of the efforts to rebuild the two mosques, which were subjected to barbaric devastation and destruction, at the hands of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, and followed the stages of restoration and maintenance of the historical parts of the two sites, and the efforts made to restore the architectural and heritage value of them.

The Prime Minister praised, in a letter he wrote in the visitors’ book, the sincere efforts that work with dedication and sincerity, to revive these Islamic edifices, at the same level as they were before the barbaric attack, and for the Hadbaa minaret to return as a symbol of Mosul and its architecture.

He directed that all obstacles facing reconstruction and restoration efforts be overcome, and that any needs required by construction work be provided.
