PNC: Allowing Jews to pray in al-Aqsa Mosque is a direct and blunt aggression against Arab, Islamic nations

The Palestine National Council (PNC) considered the decision of the Israeli occupation court, allowing Jews to pray in the courtyards of the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, a direct and explicit aggression against the sole right of Muslims in the first of the two Qiblahs and the third holy mosque.

In a press statement, PNC said that this aggression would not have occurred without the failure of the international, Arab and official Islamic institutions to perform their duties and implement their obligations towards occupied Palestine and its sanctities, foremost of which is the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

PNC stressed that this decision is a dangerous precedent and a clear violation of the historical and legal situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupying power, aimed at beginning the implementation of the spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is a further insult to the principles of international law, and the relevant Geneva Conventions, and the resolutions of the UN Security Council and UNESCO, all of which affirmed that the city of Jerusalem is occupied Palestinian land and that al-Aqsa Mosque is a pure Islamic heritage that non-Muslims have no right to whatsoever.

Jerusalem and its Christian and Islamic holy sites, foremost of which is the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, is an occupied Palestinian land in accordance with international law and international legitimacy resolutions, the latest of which is Resolution 2334 of 2016, it said.
