Premier sign €22.8 million agreement with EU

Premier Mohammad Shtayyeh today signed an agreement worth €22.8 million with the European Union to promote agriculture and create jobs.

Shtayyeh signed the agreement with the head of the EU Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations Henrike Trautmann for the benefit of the promotion of the agricultural sector and creation of employment opportunities, including land reclamation and supporting farmers in various field, including livestock production.

The agreement is intended to support the National Development Plan and the Agricultural Clusters Plan, which currently focuses on agriculture in Tubas and the Jordan Valley.
