President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to meet later today with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, according to Majdi al-Khalidi, Advisor to the President on Diplomatic Affairs.

The President arrived last night in Berlin on an official visit, Khalidi told Voice of Palestine radio.

He said the President and the German Chancellor are going to discuss the latest political developments, ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and means to provide protection for the Palestinian people against these crimes, recognition of the state of Palestine and its efforts to win full membership at the United Nations.
