The Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum participated today in the World Book Day event organized by Lusail University in cooperation with several cultural agencies and centers. The event will continue until Tuesday.

Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum’s participation in this event stems from its vision to advance societal culture and build an intellectually educated student community armed with knowledge and capable of bringing about current and future change.

Held in the Lusail University Library at the university’s campus, the event aims to encourage reading among university student, instill its cultural and cognitive value, and promote the general culture among students and the local community.

Director of the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum Riyad Ahmed Yassin said they were pleased to be part of this important cultural event, expressing his belief that all cultural centers should work to spread the love of books and literature among students and to promote reading by participating in such events.
