Special Adviser at the Presidency of the Republic, Buthaina Shaaban discussed on Monday with Chairman of the Omani National Records and Archives’ Authority, Hamad bin Muhammad al-Dhuyani, aspects of cooperation between Syria and the Sultanate of Oman in the fields of documents, archives and historical studies.
Shaaban, who is also Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of “Watan Document Foundation” held talks with the Omani side on means of enhancing bilateral coordination in the field of conferences, historical, civil, intellectual, scientific and documentary exhibitions.
The two sides stressed the importance of pushing cooperation forwards to facilitate the access to documents regarding the two countries within an executive program.
Shaaban hailed the great efforts exerted by the Omani Documentation and Archives Authority to preserve the national memory in addition to the integrated work system.
