RAMALLAH, The overall industrial production index (IPI) in Palestine sharply increased by 11.39% in June compared to May, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

The increase in the IPI was due to the sharp increase in the activities of the manufacturing industry by 13.09%, which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry, and the activities of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 4.58%, which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry.

Meanwhile, the activities of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation sharply decreased by 12.98%, which had a share of 1.84% of the total industry, and the activities of mining and quarrying also decreased by 3.38%, which had a share of 2.89% of the total industry.
