Shtayyeh calls on EU to take firm stance against Israel’s demolition of donor-funded school in Masafer Yatta

RAMALLAH– Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh today called on the European Union to take a firm stance against the Israeli demolition of a donor-funded school in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank.

The prime minister, in a statement, slammed the demolition of the donor-funded Isfey school in Masafer Yatta as a blatant violation of the rights of Palestinian children and students.

“This Israeli measure comes as part of Israel’s war on our people, their land, and identity, and is inseparable from the daily violations and the targeting of students and educational staff and institutions, particularly in Jerusalem and Hebron’s Old City, among others,” said Shtayyeh.

He noted that the government is following up on these dangerous violations at the highest levels.
