Six deaths, 2753 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Palestine in the last 24 hours

RAMALLAH, Six people died of coronavirus in Palestine in the last 24 hours as 2753 new cases were recorded, according to the daily report on the pandemic in Palestine by Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said that the six deaths occurred in the West Bank where 855 new cases were confirmed and 784 recoveries.

The Gaza Strip recorded 1805 new cases and 1155 recoveries, while East Jerusalem recorded 93 new cases and 66 recoveries.

Alkaila said 185 people are getting treatment in hospitals, and 76 are in intensive care, while 19 patients are on ventilators.

She said that over 1.2 million people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with over half a million getting the second dose.

The West Bank recorded over 50% vaccination rate, while the Gaza Strip over 28%.
