Velayati vows to expel the Americans from Iraq by force

Baghdad, The Adviser of the Iranian Guide for International Affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, has vowed that the American forces in Iraq will be expelled by force if they do not leave by themselves.

In a speech during a forty ceremony of, Qasim Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force in Qom (according to IRNA), said that the Americans must realize that they are leaving Iraq inevitably.”

He added that the time of the American military presence in Iraq and Syria is coming to an end, and then the role of expelling Americans from Afghanistan will come.

He stated that: ending the military presence of the United States in Iraq will lead to its end in Syria, stressing that the Americans will leave these two countries soon.”

He stressed that Iran is the first force in the region, whether the enemy wants it or not, and the line extending from Tehran to Baghdad, Damascus, Beirut and Palestine is the resistance front line and will continue.

Velayati indicated that the Americans believed that the assassination of Qassem Soleimani would dampen the resilience of the resistance front, but the huge marches that were launched in the funeral of his body were unprecedented and proved the error of the Americans ‘calculations.

Tensions escalated between Washington and Tehran, after a US air strike was carried out near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, killing Soleimani, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Committee, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and others.

On January 8, Iran launched a missile attack on two military bases in Iraq, one of them is the Ain al-Assad base, which includes about 1,500 American soldiers.
