RAMALLAH, Thursday, Cloudy skies, very cold conditions with a drop in temperature and rain on the northern parts during the day to end at night are expected for Thursday, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is southwesterly, active and gusty and sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10C and a low of 6C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9C and a low of 5C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 19C and a low of 11C, while it is expected to reach a high of 16C and a low of 11C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A rise in temperature is expected for Friday, which drops again on Saturday.
A low pressure cold front is expected to hit the area on Sunday, Christmas Eve for the Orthodox Church, with a significant drop in temperature. Rain, thunderstorms and hail are expected to start in the north to gradually spread to the rest of the country. Wind and gust are expected to reach 80 kilometers per hour and sea waves are very high.
The PMD warned citizens against flooding in low areas and low visibility due to formation of fog and low clouds, as well as slippery roads.
