A slight rise of temperature is expected today in Palestine, which nevertheless remains 3°C below the seasonal average, with clear to partly cloudy skies and cold to very cold conditions, particularly in the mountainous areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to westerly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 4°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 3°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 9°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Sunday’s temperature is expected to slightly drop with clear to partly cloudy skies and cold conditions, particularly in the mountains. Starting from midday, the wind will pick up and occasional rain showers along with thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected in the north, gradually intensifying and extending to the center.

Monday’s temperature is expected to plummet to 7°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to cloudy and very cold conditions, particularly in the mountains. Rain, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day and begin to fade away at night.

A rise in temperature is expected on Tuesday but remains 4°C below the seasonal average with frost expected in the early morning hours, said the PMD, which warned people against frost formation in the early morning hours of today and tomorrow.
