Weather: Rise in temperature, cold conditions

Weather today in Palestine is partly cloudy and cold particularly in the mountains, with a rise in temperature and with a slight chance of scattered rain over some areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are northwesterly to eastwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 5°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 4°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 10°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Another rise in temperature is expected on Tuesday, yet weather remains cold in most areas, especially in the mountains.

A drop in temperature is expected on Wednesday paving to the way to cold conditions, and with a chance of rain over some areas.

Thursday’s weather is partially cloudy to cloudy with a slight rise in temperature yet weather remains cold in most areas, especially in the mountains.

The PMD warned people against low horizontal visibility and frost formation in the early morning hours.
