Weather: Rise in temperature to become six degrees Celsius above the seasonal average

A rise in temperature is expected today in Palestine approaching 6°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 13°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 23°C and a low of 12°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A significant rise in temperature is expected tomorrow, Sunday, approaching 15°C above the seasonal average as very hot, dry and dusty conditions prevail.

However, temperature is expected to drop significantly on Monday becoming around the seasonal average with a little chance of scattered rain over some areas.

No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected for Tuesday, said the PMD.
