Al-Sudani: The wheat storage exceeded 4.5 million tons, and it covers Iraq’s needs for a year

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Al-Sudani, announced that the storage of wheat exceeded 4.5 million tons, and it covers Iraq’s needs for a year.

In his review of the most prominent details of the semi-annual report on government performance, Al-Sudani said: “In the current agricultural season, we were able to secure a strategic stockpile of flour, and the payment of farmers’ dues was unprecedented and within a maximum period of 72 hours.”

Israeli occupation forces kill young Palestinian

Israeli occupation forces on Saturday shot dead a young Palestinian at a military checkpoint north of Jerusalem, the Palestinian news agency Wafa said.

Wafa said the occupation authorities notified family of the martyr, Ishak Al-Ajlouni, 18, who hailed from village of Kfar Aqab, north of Jerusalem.

The occupiers have kept his corpse.

Israeli occupation police said that the Palestinian youngster had opened fire at the troops manning the roadblock wounding one of them. They retaliated for the fire causing his dearth.

Gulf women play important role in diplomacy — GCC

Secretary General of the GCC Jassim Al-Bedaiwi has affirmed that Gulf women play an important role in the diplomatic field.

A diplomatic woman is a symbol of power and creativity in “our current age,” said Al-Bedaiwi in a statement issued by the GCC General Secretariat on Saturday, on the occasion of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, celebrated every June 24th.

He added that GCC leaders are continuously supporting diplomatic women and working to facilitate and tackle any issues and difficulties they may face in the field.

Kuwait Interior Minister promotes fire force officers

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has approved promotion of 604 officers and non-commissioned officers of Kuwait Fire Force (KFF).

The KFF said in a statement on Saturday that the promotion was in line with Sheikh Talal’s approach to grant all personal their rights and back up the force personnel.

It added that the minister urged the promoted officers to seek greater professional and practical development, hoping that the promotion would motivate them to excel in performing the tasks.

Kuwait Premier congratulates Education Ministry on successful 12th grade final exams

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah sent congratulatory cables on Saturday to Minister of Education Dr Hamad Al-Adwani, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, assistant undersecretary for education and head of the exams committee Osama Al-Sultan and heads of educational areas, congratulating them on the success of the ministry’s final exams plan for the 12th grade for the academic year 2022/2023.

Kuwait Special Olympics participates in Berlin games

Kuwait Special Olympics participates in a medical sports program during the summer global games of the 16th edition of the Special Olympics World Games (Berlin 2023) held in the German capital.

The medical examination program is one of the prime activities of the international event, with medical teams following up on health of athletes from 170 states, totaling 7,000.

The medics measure blood pressure, examine physique of the athletes such as height and weight, in addition to ensuring they feed on healthy food and drink sufficient amounts of water during the various games.

They also examine their psychological condition particularly in heated competitions.
