Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, met on Monday with Dutch Foreign Minister, Hanke Bruins Slot.

In the meeting, held ahead of the emergency international conference on the urgent humanitarian response to Gaza, scheduled to be held on Tuesday in the Dead Sea area, Safadi and Slot emphasized the importance of reaching an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the need to address the humanitarian disaster in the Strip.

The two ministers underlined the need to adhere to the rules of international law and international humanitarian law and ensure the protection of civilians and the continued flow of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The two ministers also discussed bilateral relations and ways to further enhance them in all fields in a way that reflects positively on the two countries.

Safadi and Colombian Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo held talks that focused on efforts to stop the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip,
ways to intensify efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and the unimpeded entry of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.

The meeting also addressed bilateral relations and the joint keenness to enhance them further in many fields.

Additionally, Safadi met with Chilean Foreign Minister Alberto Van Klaveren to discuss developments in the region and efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza that ensures the protection of civilians and the delivery of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.

The two ministers also discussed bilateral relations and unbderscored their joint keenness to enhance them in various fields.
