Israeli settlers attack and injure Palestinians in Hebron and Nablus

Dozens of Israeli settlers today stormed several neighborhoods in the old town of the southern West Bank city of Hebron with provocative marches and roamed its streets and alleys under the pretext of celebrating the Jewish Purim holiday and attacked Palestinian civilians, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said the settlers threw rocks at the Palestinians and attacked them spraying them with pepper gas in several neighborhoods in the old town of Hebron, which is under full Israeli military control, injuring some as they chanted anti-Palestinian racist slogans, while the occupation forces closed military checkpoints leading to Tel Rumeida and Shuhada Street for two hours, and blocked the way into the town’s markets.

In Nablus in the north of the West Bank, settlers attacked Palestinians with stones and sticks, injuring one in the face and foot and another suffered bruises, WAFA correspondent reported.

The two were transferred to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus for treatment.
