Man assaulted, injured by settlers near Bethlehem

A Palestinian man was assaulted and injured today by a group of extremist Israeli settlers near the village of Husan, to the west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Mohammad Sabatin, the mayor of the village, told WAFA that Nasser Mahmoud Sabatin, sustained cuts and bruises throughout his body after a group of Israeli settlers savagely assaulted him and beat him up while he was present in his own land, located near the illegal settlement of Bitar Elit.

He said the man was rushed to a nearby hospital in the aftermath of the brutal attack, adding that the settlers also attacked the man’s vehicle and smashed its windshields.
